TOLEDO, Ohio. – Ohio cross country returns home after placing second and fourth in their season opener at the Toledo Invitational.
The Bobcat women completed the race with a total of 65 points. Ohio had scorers finish in the top 20 runners, led by senior Alyssa Atkinson (Granville, Ohio) who clocked a 14:31.1, red-shirt junior Madison Sury (Waterford, Ohio) 14:39.3, junior Melissa Koziol (Burton, Ohio) 14:41.9, senior Emily Deering (Geneva, Ohio) 14:49.2, and freshman Madelyn Bartolone (Massillon, Ohio) 14:53.3. in today's 4K race.
The men's team finished fourth overall at the Toledo Invitational. The team accumulated a total of 101 points with two Bobcats placing in the top 20. Sophomore Josh Park (Amherst, Ohio) ran 18:47.7 and red-shirt sophomore Griffin Butler (Newark, Ohio) 19:09.5 in today's 6K race
The Bobcats travel to Lexington, Ky. Saturday, Sept. 8 to compete in the Bluegrass Invitational with the women starting at 9:30 am followed by the men at 10.
