Due to a scheduling conflict, the Ohio softball team's fall doubleheader against the University of Charleston (W. Va.), originally scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 16, has been moved to Sunday, Oct. 14. The doubleheader is set to begin at 12 p.m. at the Ohio Softball Field.

Former Ohio softball standout, Savannah Jo Dorsey (Seigneur), has signed on to play professional softball for DSS Haarlem out of the Golden League in Haarlem, Netherlands. Dorsey will participate in the league from the beginning of June to July 15

Despite the outcome, a loss by Toledo clinched the 2018 MAC Regular Season Championship for the Bobcats. It is the first time since 1995 that Ohio has won the regular season.
