Unable to overcome a three-run inning in the top of the third, the Ohio softball team (40-17) saw their magical run at the 2018 NCAA Knoxville Regional come to an end, falling to No. 10 Tennessee (48-12), 5-1, inside Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.

Ohio Softball Blasts Their Way to 7-3 Victory over No. 23/25 James Madison to Advance to NCAA Knoxville Regional Championship Series
Trailing 2-0 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, the Ohio softball team (40-16) would go on to score six runs and hit two homeruns to help propel the Bobcats to a 7-3 victory over James Madison (43-12), in the elimination game of the 2018 NCAA Knoxville Regional, inside Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. The win sends Ohio to the Knoxville Regional Championship series against No. 10 Tennessee tomorrow (May 20) at 1 p.m.
Led by a two-run homerun from freshman Katie Yun, and a dominating performance by freshman Madi McCrady to close out the last two innings of play, the Ohio softball team (39-16) defeated Monmouth (32-16), 4-0, for their first ever NCAA Regional victory, Saturday afternoon inside Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
In a game that saw two rain delays that combined for over three and a half hours, the Ohio Softball team (38-16) opened play at the 2018 NCAA Knoxville Regional, falling to No. 23/25 James Madison (43-12), 2-1 in the opening round, Friday (May 18) afternoon, inside Sherri Lee Parker Stadium.
