A 1983 graduate of West Virginia, Frank Costa joins the Ohio staff in 2005-06 as the graduate assistant, pursuing a Master's degree in Coaching Education. Costa has had extensive coaching experience in both the men's and women's games over nearly the last two decades.

He began his career on the sideline as an assistant in 1987 for the West Virginia Tech men's program. In 1991 he joined the West Virginia University women's squad as a graduate assistant and saw the Mountaineers go 26-4 and advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

Costa has served as the co-head women's coach at West Virginia Tech and as a volunteer assistant for the Coastal Carolina women.

He joins Ohio after serving another stint as an assistant with the men's program at West Virginia Tech. Costa has also earned head coaching experience at West Virginia Tech, heading up the softball and both men's and women's tennis programs at the Division II school.

He and his wife Jennifer have three children: Francesca (20), Nikki (18) and Chase (16).
