Patricia Charity, Elaine Powell, Jeffrey Marshall, Jessica Loding and Monique Perez join Bobcats in advance of 2012-13 season
Jessica Loding joined the Ohio Women's Basketball Program in August 2012 as the Director of Basketball Operations.
Loding joins the Bobcats from TBC Sports Inc. in Holt, Michigan and WGHN (FM) in Grand Haven, MI. During her time in radio, she served as the Director of Musical Programming at WGHN and worked with their parent company TBC Sports to analyze radio broadcasts for Michigan State University. In the spring of 2012, WGHN was named Class IV Station of the Year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.
Prior to joining TBC Sports, she worked extensively in the sports industry since 2005, most notably at Basketball Traveler's Inc. and Michigan State University. While at Basketball Traveler's, she oversaw the re-design of their marketing and promotional material, assisted with the execution of the 2011 Winter World University Games in Turkey, served as an Assistant Director for the 2010 Junkanoo Jam basketball tournament on Grand Bahama Island and provided on-location support for the 2010 San Diego Surf `N Slam.
She came to Basketball Traveler's from Michigan State University, where she worked extensively with the women's basketball program from 2005-2010. During her five years with the program, she assisted with the daily operations, including travel logistics, video, donor relations, game day coordination, practice management, summer basketball camps, recruiting, and community service. In five years, she created the largest youth club for women's basketball in the Big Ten conference and participated in five post-season appearances, including two appearances in the NCAA Sweet 16 and two First and Second Round host sites in East Lansing. In 2009, she served as the NCAA's Practice Coordinator for the East Lansing Regional.
In addition, she has worked with two national governing bodies, having worked with USA Basketball during their national team trials in 2007 and with USA Volleyball in their High Performance department in 2010. In all, she has organized 20 different events in two different countries and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Ohio Women's Basketball.
"I've known Jess for quite some time having worked with her at Michigan State," Randall said. "She is one of the hardest-working managers I've ever seen. She is extremely organized and is very passionate about the administrative side of the `Director of Basketball Operations' position. It is truly a great gift to have her with us."
Loding graduated from Michigan State University in May 2009 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science/Physiology and Sports Management. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Kinesiology/Sports Management in 2010. She resides in Athens, OH.
