DeKalb, Ohio - Lauren Hmiel scored a career-high 19 points as four Ohio players scored in double figures in a 72-68 win over Northern Illinois Monday night in DeKalb.

Hmiel (York, Pa.) led all players in scoring, shooting 6-of-8 from the field, 2-of-2 from three-point range and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.

Lauren Kohn (Adrian, Mich.) scored 15 points for the Bobcats, shooting 6-of-10 from the field and 3-of-4 from the free-throw line. Kohn also led the Bobcats with nine rebounds, including eight on the defensive side.

Simone Redd (Warrensville Heights, Ohio) and Chandra Myers (Sugarcreek, Ohio) also reached double digits for the Bobcats scoring 12 and 11 points, respectively. Redd also had two steals, while Myers pulled down seven rebounds. Senior Quintana Ward (Park Forest, Ill.) scored all of her seven points in the second half. She also had a team-high five assists.

With the win, Ohio improves to a 17-11, 10-5 MAC record, while Northern Illinois falls to a 10-16, 6-7 MAC record. For the game, Ohio shot 48.1 percent (25-of-52) from the floor and Northern Illinois shot 37.9 percent (25-of-66).

Whitney Lowe led the Huskies with 16 points. Kylie York scored 12 points and Ebony Ellis finished with 10.

Ohio will wrap up its three-game road stand with a match-up against the Miami RedHawks Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Oxford.
