ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University women's basketball student-athlete Lauren Kohn has been named to the 2007 Mid-American Conference Academic All-MAC Team, the league office announced today.
The 12-member team was voted on by the league's Faculty Athletic Representatives from among a list of candidates with a minimum 3.2 grade point average.
Kohn, a junior and member of the 2007 All-MAC Second Team, was one of six MAC East Division student-athletes named to the 2007 Academic All-MAC Team. She maintains a 3.83 cumulative grade point average as a communication-public advocacy major.
On the court, Kohn led the Bobcats in scoring with 16.1 points per game, and scored in double digits in 29 of Ohio's 30 games this season. The Adrian, Mich., native also averaged 4.3 rebounds and shot 84.3-percent from the charity stripe.
