Beyond The Arc: Spring Cleaning

Guard Quiera Lampkins shot a team-best 44.2% from the field during conference play as a freshman for the Ohio women's basketball team in 2013-14.

ATHENS, Ohio -- For the Ohio University women's basketball program, spring cleaning meant time spent on the court at the Convocation Center polishing the squad's offensive skills under the watchful eye of second-year head coach Bob Boldon and his coaching staff.

The arrival of May also signified the conclusion of the 2013-14 academic year, and junior guard Mariah Byard (Mannington, W. Va.) garnered Academic All-Mid-American Conference Honorable Mention for her hard work both on the court and in the classroom.

With the student-athletes away from Athens until summer class sessions get underway, Boldon and his assistants will still be busy watching film and tinkering with their offensive and defensive schemes to try and put the Bobcats in the best position to succeed in 2014-15.

It won't be all work for the Bobcat family during the summer, though. Ohio women's basketball will have its own royal wedding when assistant coach Kate Schraderties the knot with her fiancé, Jesse.
