Sorbello joined the Ohio staff in the spring of 2008. Her primary responsibilities with the Bobcats include academic advisement, off-season conditioning, practice planning, defensive strategy, film breakdown and the guest coach program.
A four-year starter at Duke (2001-2004), Gracie started 86 of her career 88 games. In 2002 and 2003 she was named to the All-South Region Team and was also an All-ACC Team selection. Between 2003 and 2004 she was a two-time All-NCAA Tournament Team Selection, a First- and Second-Team All-American selection, co-leading scorer at Duke, the co-captain of her Duke squad, and helped lead the team to back-to-back NCAA National Championship games. She finished her collegiate career in the Duke record books ranked third in season goals (23), sixth in season points (55), seventh in career goals (42) and seventh in career points (101).
In addition to her collegiate career, Gracie was a member of the U-18 National Team, alternate for the U-19 team, and member of the U-20 team.
After graduating from Duke in 2006 with a B.A. in Music, she became the first woman to ride a unicycle across the U.S. (rode barefoot, and almost 4,000 miles). She was sponsored by Coker Tire Co., and she raised awareness and over $12,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society while garnering local, national (CNN, FOX, NBC, and ABC), and international publicity. Sorbello has also worked in Colorado on a fly-fishing ranch and as a wrangler in Rocky Mountain National Park. She is from Davis, Calif. where she attended Davis Senior High School and holds the school's single-season scoring record with 23 goals.
