Ohio scored less than a minute into the contest when Brown scooped up a loose ball and blasted a shot from the top of the "D". It was the sixth goal of the season for the senior, who came into the game leading the MAC with 1.67 points per game.

The Bobcats closed the half by doubling their advantage on a goal from Fenzel. The junior pounced on a loose ball in front of the cage and gave Ohio a 2-0 advantage heading into intermission. It was Fenzel's first goal of the season and fourth of her career.

The Bobcats take on their third ranked opponent of the season, Wednesday, Oct. 3, when they travel to No. 15 Wake Forest for a 5 p.m. contest.
