ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio University field hockey team will host a series of free youth clinics this April at Pruitt Field on the Ohio University campus.
The Bobcats will hold the fundamental practice clinics each Wednesday evening from 5:30-7 p.m. Boys and girls ages 4-14 are welcome to attend as many sessions as they’d like over the course of the month.
The sessions provide a fun and hands-on way to learn the game from Ohio’s coaching staff and current student-athletes.
Sticks are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own mouth and shin guards.
The free clinics are being held in conjunction with USA Field Hockey’s FUNdamental Field Hockey program. The program, which launched in March 2012, looks to expose the sport of field hockey to boys and girls by providing equipment and promoting fun physical activity.
