ATHENS, Ohio - Taylor Brown was named the MAC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week by the league offices today. She has earned a weekly award each of the last three years while playing for the Bobcats.

Brown scored two goals and had an assist this weekend as she moved one goal away from breaking into the top-5 all-time at Ohio. Brown, a two-time All-MAC selection, scored a highlight-reel goal against Colgate to give her the ninth game-winner of her career

"She is a dynamic player for us and continues to do things all over the field," Head Coach Neil Macmillan said. "Syracuse really keyed on her because they know she is a force up front for us."

Last season, Brown was named NFHCA All-West Region for the second year in a row. She finished second in the MAC with 15 goals scored and fourth in the MAC with 33 points. She had a real flair for the dramatic, scoring both goals in Ohio's 2-1 win over Lafayette in a NCAA play-in game and the game-winner at nationally-ranked Ohio State

Ohio opens up its home slate Saturday at 1 p.m. with a contest against Radford.
