ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio Field Hockey's Jessica Jue was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week by the league offices today. This is the second weekly award for Jue and she becomes the fourth Bobcat this season to be honored by the MAC.
Jue scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime at No. 15 Wake Forest. She followed that with another multi-point outing in the win over Ball State, collecting two assists.
After a record-setting 2011, Jue went into the weekend ranked fourth in the MAC in assists. The junior, a First Team All-MAC selection, set the Ohio single-season record last year with 18 assists, leading the league and finishing 15th nationally. She has six assists this season and serves as the 'Cats top penalty-corner taker.
Ohio concludes play at Pruitt Field this Saturday with a MAC contest against Missouri State at 1 p.m.
