Bobcats Bash Missouri State on Senior Day, 5-1
On the day it honored its four seniors, Ohio Field Hockey relied on them in an easy MAC win over Missouri State, 5-1. Taylor Brown matched her career-high with four goals and Laura Mastro notched her first tally of the season, while adding an assist, as the `Cats cruised in their final home game.

Ohio Field Hockey Rolls St. Louis, 7-0
Cathryn Altdoerffer and Brooke Edwards each scored twice and the Ohio Field Hockey team cruised to a 7-0 victory over St. Louis this afternoon. Jessica Jue and Laura Mastro added goals and freshman Ashley Cureton scored her first as a Bobcat in the win.
Ohio begins the trip at Missouri State on Friday, Oct. 11 (noon) for its first Mid-American Conference match of the season. The Bobcats finish the weekend on Sunday, Oct. 13 at Saint Louis (1 p.m.).

Last Time Out
The Bobcats are looking to bounce back from a close 2-1 setback at Ohio State last Sunday. The two teams traded off goals, with three goals scored in just two minutes time. The Buckeyes led 2-1 at the end of the first, a score that would stick until the game’s final minute.
Ohio opens its 33rd season of Mid-American Conference play Friday. The Bobcats are 154-131 (.540) all-time in MAC contests, including a 49-17 (.742) mark over the past seven seasons. The Bobcats have captured six regular season titles and six MAC Tournament championships in program history.
Jue’s Hot Streak
Senior Jessica Jue (Vancouver, British Columbia) continued her red-hot offensive play last weekend, posting the ‘Cats’ only goal in the loss to OSU. The score extended her four-game scoring streak. After posting five goals in her last six outings, Jue now leads the Bobcats in points (12) and is tied for team-best five goals. She ranks second in the conference in points per game and is tied for third in the league with 0.50 goals per game.
Scouting the Bears (2-8)
Missouri States enters Friday’s matchup with a 2-8 record after falling 7-1 to No. 15 Iowa on Monday. Hillary Lawless and Holly Schere - combining for seven of the team’s 13 goal - lead the Bears offense this season. Lawless has eight points on 21 shots, while Schere has three goals and two assists. Ohio holds a 23-9-1 all-time record against MSU, including a 5-1 win last year. The Bobcats have won five straight over the Bears.
Scouting the Billikens (1-10)
Ohio holds an 8-5-2 record against Saint Louis in 15 all-time matchups. The Billikens are coming off a 5-0 setback against in-state rival Missouri State last week. SLU goalie Megan Depew-Brady has 81 saves this season. With an 8.22 saves per game average, Depew-Brady is ranked eighth in the NCAA. Offensively, Faith Mackin, who has three goals and three assists for nine points this season, leads the Billikens.
The Bobcats host their first match of the season next Saturday (Oct. 19) against Central Michigan. Game time at Pruitt Field is set for 1 p.m.
