ATHENS, Ohio - The 16th-ranked Ohio field hockey team looks to continue its winning ways and move on to the round of 16 teams in the NCAA Tournament when they host Patriot League Champion American University in a NCAA play-in game on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m.

Two Times a Charm
With a 3-2 win over Miami in overtime Saturday afternoon, the Ohio field hockey team was crowned MAC Tournament Champion for the second straight year. It is the first time ever that a Bobcat field hockey club has won back-to-back regular-season and tournament championships. Torrie Albini, Rachelle Coetzee, Jessie Martin and Nikki Gnozzio were named to the all-tournament team.

A Look at the `Cats
The 16th-ranked Ohio Bobcats have a 17-4 overall record and are on a seven-game winning streak. The Bobcats have outscored (61-25), outshot (314-185) and outcornered (187-99) their opponents this season, while leading the Mid-American Conference in the same categories.

Torrie Albini (Escondido, Calif.) heads the Bobcat offense with a team-high 18 goals scored this season. Albini is Ohio's second all-time leading scorer with 47 career goals and is third in the Bobcat record book for most goals scored in a single season. To go along with those accolades is a first-place tie for most assists in a single season with 14 in 2007.

Rachelle Coetzee (Bloemfontein, South Africa) has scored 11 goals this season, including six game-winners. Coetzee scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Miami to lift the Bobcats to victory and the MAC tournament title. Marcy Dull (Ephrata, Pa.) and Estienne Coetzee (Bloemfontein, South Africa) have scored ten goals apiece.
