Neil Macmillan Named West Region Coach of the Year

ATHENS, Ohio - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced today that Ohio Head Coach Neil Macmillan was named the 2007 Dita/NFHCA West Region Coach of the Year. In just three seasons at the helm of Ohio field hockey, Macmillan has compiled a 39-26 (.600) career record, while leading the `Cats to consecutive conference regular-season and tournament titles in 2006 and 2007. Under Macmillan, Ohio has garnered seven All-MAC First Team selections, eight All-MAC Second Team selections and two MAC Player of the Year honors. Last season, the `Cats posted the most wins in 25 years and were also ranked in the national coaches' poll all season long.
