Women's Golf Maintains Seventh Place at MAC Championships

NASHPORT, Ohio - The Ohio University women's golf team posted a score of 325 (+37) on Saturday in the third round of the Mid-American Conference Championships to move its total to 1,007 (+143) and maintain its seventh-place standing with 18 holes left to play at Longaberger Golf Club. Sophomore Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) fired a third-round 79 (+7) on Saturday to move three spots up the leader board, from 14th place to 11th, with a total of 243 (+27). She will enter Sunday's final round just two strokes away from breaking into the top 10. Junior Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) also posted a seven-over 79 on Saturday, rolling in three birdies on the day, to move into a tie for 18th place with a total of 250 (+34). Freshman Megan Weaver (Canton, Ohio) shot 84 (+12) in the third round to take over 26th place with a score of 253 (+37), while senior Lindsay Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) carded the same score on Saturday to wrap up the afternoon in a tie for 35th place with a tally of 262 (+46). Junior Megan Curran (Dublin, Ohio) rounded out the Ohio lineup with a third-round 83 to hit the clubhouse in 44th place with a mark of 276 (+60). The Bobcats will wrap up the MAC Championships with 18 holes of play on Sunday, with tee times set to begin at 7:45 a.m. ET.
