Ohio's Hrynewich Takes 10th At MAC Women's Golf Championships

FISHERS, Ind. - The Ohio University women's golf team concluded play in seventh place at the 2014 Mid-American Conference Championships on Sunday (April 27) at The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club, carding a 328 (+40) combined-team score in the final round to arrive at a 54-hole total of 955 (+91).

Freshman Hailey Hrynewich (Muskegon, Mich.) tallied an 83 (+11) in the final round to come to a 230 (+14) total. The rookie's 10th place finish was the third-best performance of the freshmen in the field.

Sophomore Angela Codian (Massillon, Ohio) compiled an 84 (+12) to finish with a 240 (+24) three-round score. Her effort was good enough for a share of 22nd place.

Senior Kara Brinkmann (Middletown, Ohio) dealt an 82 (+10) final-round score to pull her into a tie for 32nd place with a 243 (+27) 54-hole mark.

Junior Julie Lechner (Powell, Ohio) struck a closing score of 82 (+10) to capture sole possession of 35th place with a three-round total of 246 (+30).

Senior Kristen Helmsdoerfer (Westerville, Ohio) tallied her lowest 18-hole score of the tournament with an 81 (+9) to total a 247 (+31) 54-hole mark. Her effort was good enough for 36th place.
