FISHERS, Ind. - Ohio Women's Golf completed play at the 2012 Mid-American Conference Championships on Sunday. The Bobcats shot a third-round score of 330 to end the tournament in seventh place with a final team score of 993.

Kent State claimed its 14th straight MAC championship, ending the tournament with a final score of 908. Ball State was not far behind, ending with a 924. Ball State's Jenna Hague won a playoff hole against Toledo's Piyathida Chaiyapan to claim top individual honors.

Megan Weaver (Canton, Ohio) led the way for the Bobcats in the final round of competition, shooting a 77. The senior ended the tournament with a three-round score of 240, tying for 19th. The 19th-place finish marked the 19th time in her career that she had finished within the top 20 of a tournament field.

Kara Brinkmann (Middletown, Ohio) was Ohio's next finisher, tying for 23rd. The sophomore shot a final-round 82, ending the tournament with a total score of 242.

Both Meryl Weaver (Canton, Ohio) and Kristen Helmsdoerfer (Westerville, Ohio) ended the tournament tied for 39th place. Weaver went 85-87-84 to end with a 256 while Helmsdoerfer shot 85-84-87 to end with the same score.

Sarah Tranelli (Penfield, N.Y.) rounded out Ohio's participation in the tournament, ending with a three-round 263 to finish 43rd. Tranelli shot an 87 on Sunday.
