ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio University women’s golf team gets back in action this weekend, heading south to Richmond, Ky., to compete in the 2013 Eastern Kentucky University Lady Colonel Classic. The two-day event will be scored live on GolfStat.com.
A total of 54 holes will be played at the EKU Lady Colonel Classic, with two rounds taking place Friday and one round finishing things out on Saturday. The Arlington Golf Club in Richmond will be the site of the tournament.
At the tournament, Ohio will match up with four Mid-American Conference foes in Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, and Toledo. The Bobcats will also compete against Golfers from Austin Peay, Chicago State, Cleveland State, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, the University of the Cumberlands, and Western Kentucky.
The Bobcats tied for sixth place at the 2012 EKU Lady Colonel Classic, shooting a three-round team score of 944. Kara Brinkmann (Middletown, Ohio) led the way for the Green and White, tying for seventh with a score of 229.
Following this weekend’s tournament, the Bobcats will round out the 2013 spring schedule at the Falcon Invitational (April 13-14) and the MAC Championships (April 26-28).
