ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University women's golf team looks to continue its success as it travels to Bowling Green, Ohio to participate in the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational this weekend (April 12-13) at the Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Bowling Green will play host to the 36-hole tournament, which is slated to begin on Saturday (April 12) at 8:30 a.m. ET in a shotgun format. The second and final round will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. ET on Sunday (April 13).
Ohio will be accompanied by a plethora of Mid-American Conference foes along with a mix of regional opponents. Altogether, the 15-team field includes Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Chicago State, Cleveland State, Detroit, Eastern Michigan, Illinois-Chicago, Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne, Northern Illinois, Oakland, South Dakota State and Western Illinois.
The Stone Ridge Golf Club will play host to the event. The course plays a par-72 and sits at 5,960 yards in length.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bobcats enter the Dolores Black Falcon Invitation fresh off a fifth-place finish in last weekend's Colonel Classic (April 4-5). The senior-freshman duo of Kara Brinkmann (Middletown, Ohio) and Hailey Hrynevich (Muskegon, Mich.) finished in a tie for 18th after carding scores of 159 (+15), respectively, to pace the Bobcats.
The Colonel Classic also saw freshman Jessica McRae (Medina, Ohio) make her Bobcat debut, and junior Julie Lechner (Powell, Ohio) register her best 18-hole score of the spring -- a 76 (+4) in the second round.
The Bobcats will be back in action next weekend for the Ohio State-hosted Lady Buckeye Invitational (April 19-20) in Columbus, Ohio. It will be Ohio's first appearance in the tournament since 2007.
