CLEVELAND - Announced by the league today, Ohio women's golf senior Kristen Mautz has been selected to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team.

Mautz (Upper Arlington, Ohio) became the sixth student-athlete in the history of the Ohio women's golf program to earn Academic All-MAC honors. It was the first such recognition of her career, and the first for Ohio since Sara Ann Palmer in 2005.

Mautz maintains the highest cumulative GPA on the team at 3.78 as an early childhood education major. She has previously been honored for her academic and athletic prowess with NGCA All-American Scholar and MAC Academic Honor Roll recognition following her junior season.

Mautz was second on the team with an 80.79 average in her senior season and was Ohio's highest finisher at the MAC Championship with a 10th place effort. She was Ohio's top finisher in three of five spring tournaments.

To be nominated for Academic All-MAC selection, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulate grade-point-average of 3.20 and have participated in at least half of the team's events during the season.

The Ohio women completed their competitive season with a fifth place finish at the MAC Championship on April 29.
