ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University men's and women's golf teams will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday with the playing of the Yestingsmeier Invitational and Cardinal Classic, respectively, in Muncie, Ind.

The Bobcat men are coming off of a first-place finish at the season-opening Piper Intercollegiate. Freshman John Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) was named Mid-American Conference Co-Golfer of the Week after posting a two-under 214 in his college debut to earn a share of first place. Junior Stewart Jamieson was also on top of his game at the Piper Intercollegiate, turning in a career-best third-place finish with a total score of 215 (-1).

The Yestingsmeier Invitational will be played at the par-70, 6,438-yard Delaware Country Club in Muncie, with live scoring available www.golfstat.com. Ohio finished 11th in last season's edition of the tournament, as Jamieson, then a sophomore, led the way with a four-over 214 to tie for 12th on the individual leader board.

In addition to host Ball State, MAC opponents Bowling Green and Northern Illinois will also be in attendance.

The Ohio women will head into the Cardinal Classic after opening the campaign with an 11th-place showing at the Penn State Invitational. Junior Megan Curran (Dublin, Ohio) shaved 25 strokes off of her previous career best to finish the tournament in a tie for 32nd place with a total of 236 (+20).

The Cardinal Classic will be contested at The Players Club, a par-72, 6,119-yard venue in Muncie. MAC rivals Akron and Bowling Green are also slated to be among the field on Monday and Tuesday.
