ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio Golf is set to compete in its final events of the 2011 fall season. Bobcat Men's Golf will play at the University of Dayton Fall Invitational at NCR Country Club while the Women's Golf team will compete at the 2011 Zippy Invitational, which will be held at the Rosemont Country Club in Akron, Ohio. Both tournaments are two-day events that will take place on Monday, Oct. 17 and Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Following a 12th-place finish at the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Invitational, Ohio Men's Golf will be looking to end its fall season on a positive note. Connor Coldwater (Clarks Summit, Pa.) carded an impressive round of 66 at tournament, a round which tied for the best overall round of the entire competition. His performance was closely followed by teammate Paul Grauer (Dublin, Ohio), who achieved the second-best score for the Green and White.

The UD Fall Invitational is a two-round, 36-hole tournament that spans 7,055 yards. The course is a par 71 with a course rate of 74.5. Monday's play begins with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. while Tuesday's competition will kick off at 9 a.m., also a shotgun start.

Ohio's Women's Golf team is coming off a solid eighth-place finish at the 2011 Mid-American Conference Preview, in which the Bobcats were only 12 strokes off the pace of the top team. The Green and White really found their stride in the second round of the tournament, as three of Ohio's five golfers improved their first-round scores. Megan Weaver (Canton, Ohio) carded Ohio's best round of the tournament, shooting a 74 in the second round of the competition.

The Zippy Invitational boasts an eight-school field in which Ohio will compete against Akron, Bowling Green, Cleveland State, Eastern Kentuck, Walsh University and Youngstown State. Thirty-six holes will be played over the two days on a par-72, 6,012-yard course. Monday's play begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
