Lacrosse Announces Annual Summer Camp Plans

    ATHENS, Ohio The Ohio University Lacrosse program will host it annual summer camp June 23-25, head coach Kate Brew announced today. Players ages 13 to 18 are eligible to enroll.

    The elite camp offers in-depth instruction of both basic and advanced skills, demonstrations by the camp staff and evening pick-up games. The camper to coach ratio is 9 to 1.

    Goalkeepers will have individual instruction to sharpen techniques with attention to detail in footwork, angles quickness and stick work. Communication with defense, play outside the crease, field strategies and tactics will also be emphasized.

    The camp takes place at Pruitt Field, Ohio University's state-of-the-art astro-turf facility. The amenities also include air-conditioned dorms, daily meals and a t-shirt.

    Ohio head coach Kate Brew leads the camp, with assistance from former Bobcat Lindsey Hart (now at the University of Albany) and a pair of Vanderbily assistant coaches, Megan Riley and Susan Ellis. Additional coaches will be announced.
