ATHENS, Ohio Bobcat freshman Dana Dobbie tallied four goals while teammate Melissa Menna added a hat trick in the Ohio lacrosse team's 11-8 win over Duquesne Sunday afternoon at Pruitt Field.

Three of Dobbie's scores came after the Dukes tied the score at seven with just over 17 minutes remaining in the contest. She broke the deadlock at 48:58 and then gave the Bobcats some cushion with a pair of goals 22 seconds apart at 52:42 and 53:04.

Ohio scored twice in the first 1:44 once by Lynz Keys and the second by Dobbie and later led 3-1. But Duquesne scored four straight times in the last 20 minutes of the period to lead 5-3 at halftime.

The Bobcats opened the second half with four straight goal to lead 7-5 before the Dukes struck twice in 1:08, at 41:36 and 42:42, to create the final tie.

Keys and Becky Oxman finished with two goals each to round out the Ohio scoring. Ginger Flocco led Duquesne with three strikes.

Ohio is now 2-0 for the first time since restarting the lacrosse program in 1999. The Bobcats now hit the road for five straight games beginning next weekend at North Carolina.
