STANFORD, Calif. The Ohio lacrosse team fell behind 3-0 and 5-1 early in the contest and never full recovered in a 14-10 loss at Stanford Tuesday afternoon. The Bobcats were led by Melissa Menna and Dana Dobbie, who tallied three goals apiece.

With the loss, Ohio falls to 3-3 on the season while Stanford is now 4-4. The Bobcats stay in California on their spring break trip for a Saturday contest against St. Mary's.

The Cardinal grabbed an early 3-0 lead, then answered an Ohio goal with two of its own for a 5-1 advantage. The Bobcats played even after that in trailing 8-4 at halftime.

Coming out of the break, the Cardinal extended their lead to 10-5 thanks to back-to-back free position goals. Menna found the net to pull the Bobcats to with four at 10-6 but an unassisted Stanford tally moved the lead back to five.

The Bobcats would rally, scoring four unanswered goals to cut the Cardinal's lead to 11-10 with just over nine minutes remaining in regulation. However, the Cardinal would respond by closing out the game with three consecutive goals.

Kim Cahill and Abbi Hills each scored three goals to lead Stanford.

Jen Cassidy had 10 saves in the Bobcats' goal.
