DAVIDSON, N.C. Becky Oxman scored four goals and added an assist to lead Ohio to its first American Lacrosse Conference victory of the season, 14-5 at Davidson Friday afternoon.

Three other players Lindsey Hart, Alyssa Trocher and Lynz Keys scored three goals each as the Bobcats snapped a two-game losing skid and improved to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in ALC play. Davidson is winless in 10 games this year, three of the conference variety.

Oxman opened the scoring with back-to-back goals before Davidson trimmed the margin in half with 17:24 left in the opening period on the first of three goals by Loren Seaton. But the Bobcats made it 4-1 on goals by Hart and Melissa Menna over the next five minutes.

After a second tally by Seaton cut the margin in half again -- this time at 4-2 -- Hart netted her second goal of the game to push the lead back to three. The Wildcats stayed close with a tally 15 seconds later, but Ohio netted the next two goals to open a 7-3 advantage. Seaton recorded her third goal of the game on a free position shot only 30 seconds before intermission to leave the score 7-4 at the break.

The Wildcats opened the second-half scoring with a goal in the first three minutes, but Ohio retaliated with seven unanswered goals over the last 27 minutes to earn the victory.

Ohio goalie Jen Cassidy made eight saves in net to lead the Bobcats.

"We played a really complete game," said Ohio head coach Kate Brew. "Simone Lelchuk was very solid in the midfield and at the defensive end and Jen (Cassidy) was amazing. Most of her saves were point-blank."
