Oxman Earns Conference Player-of-the-Week Honors

Becky Oxman became the first Bobcat this season to earn American Lacrosse Conference Player-of-the-Week honors.

    CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Junior midfielder Becky Oxman has been named American Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced today. Oxman is the first Bobcat to take the honor this season.

    Oxman established career highs in goals (four/tied) and points (six) in the Bobcats’14-5 conference win over Davidson Friday afternoon. She took 11 shots against the Wildcats while adding two ground balls and three caused turnovers. At Duquesne last Tuesday, Oxman had a goal and an assist and picked up three ground balls.

    Ohio (4-5, 1-2) returns to action Friday when it hosts California at 4 p.m. Admission is free to all Bobcat home matches at Pruitt Field on Shafer Street.
