COLUMBUS, Ohio Senior Lindsey Hart scored three goals and Becky Oxman and Lynz Keys each tallied a pair, but 10th-ranked Ohio State used three quick goals in the first half to defeat the Bobcats, 15-9, in an American Lacrosse Conference match Thursday night at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

The game was the season-finale for both teams, ending the year for Ohio at 5-10. Ohio State (13-3, 5-1) won the conference title with the victory.

Ohio jumped out to an early lead when Kristen Gombeski scored her first goal of the year, 3:30 into the contest. But the Buckeyes evened the match 13 seconds later, then scored again at the 4:50 mark to take a 2-1 lead. The Buckeyes' advantage went to 5-1 with three goals in a 27-second span at 10:18, 10:25 and 10:45.

Keys pulled the Bobcats closer at 5-2 with a free-position goal at the 12:51 mark, but Ohio State scored five straight goals. The Bobcats trailed 11-4 at intermission after Hart and Alyssa Trocher found the net in the final five minutes of the period.

After OSU opened the second half with a goal, Ohio tried to rally. Oxman's two scores at 32:50 and 33:42 and Keys' second at 34:10 made the score 12-7. The Buckeyes tallied the next three goals before Hart completed her hat trick with a pair of scores in the final 10 minutes.
