PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Brown broke a 2-2 tie with five unanswered goals to lead the Bears to an 11-5 lacrosse win over Ohio in the Bobcats' 2005 season finale. Kelley Windle scored twice to lead Ohio while Molly Wurdack, Caitlin Link and Kari Fasick added single tallies.

For the second straight game, the Bobcats played without the services of leading scorer Dana Dobbie, who is suffering from ankle and leg injuries. However, Ohio jumped on Brown early as Link converted a pass from Frannie Sullivan just 2:10 into the contest.

Brown answered with back-to-back goals at the 21:42 and 12:38 marks, but Windle tied the score 10:50 before halftime.

But the Bears struck for a pair of goals 19 seconds apart at 8:21 and 8:02 to start the 5-0 run that spanned intermission. Goals at 2:57 and 1:29 made the Bobcats' deficit 6-2 at halftime.

The lead reached 7-2 when Brown opened the second half with a goal with 27 minutes remaining in the contest, before Ohio rallied.

Fasick scored off an assist from Windle at 21:27, then Wurdack struck unassisted at 16:23. But Brown pushed the lead right back to four at 8-4.

The Bobcats' final push came with 8:58 to play when Windle was successful on a free position shot, but the Bears scored to last three goals of the game to clinch the victory.

Jen Heup made six saves in playing the entire game in goal. The Bobcats finished the season 5-11.
