ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio Head Lacrosse Coach Allison Valentino has announced the Bobcats' fall schedule for the 2005-06 season. Ohio will play in the UMBC Tournament, as well as single games versus Ohio State and Bobcat alumni.

The team has already begun its fall practice schedule. The Bobcats will play their first four games on Sunday, Oct. 2 at UMBC. Ohio will square off with the host Retrievers, in addition to contests with Penn State, Mount Saint Mary's and George Washington.

Following its trip to Maryland, the Bobcats will take on Ohio State in Columbus on Oct. 5. The schedule concludes with the Green & White Scrimmage on Oct. 13 and the Alumni Game on Oct. 22.

Valentino is in her first season with Bobcats. She came to Ohio after serving as an assistant coach at Maryland and Duke. The Bobcats return two of their three top scorers from last season in Dana Dobbie and Frannie Sullivan. Dobbie was a second-team all-region pick last season after leading the team with 37 goals, 13 assists and 50 points. Sullivan ranked third on the squad in points with 24 on 12 goals and 12 assists.

The Bobcats also return both goalkeepers that combined to play in all 16 games last season. Jen Heup and Jayme Levy each made more than 60 saves a year ago.
