2007 Lacrosse Schedule
ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio women's lacrosse team will begin its 2007 season on Feb. 16 at Lehigh in the first of contest of its 16-game regular-season schedule announced by Head Coach Allison Valentino on Oct. 31. The Bobcats will play three teams that qualified for last season's NCAA Championship, including two-time defending national champion Northwestern.
After its trip to Lehigh to begin the campaign, Ohio plays a road games at NCAA-qualifier Maryland on Feb. 18. The Bobcats begin their sixth season in the American Lacrosse Conference with a match up at intrastate rival Ohio State on Feb. 25. Ohio will play the last of its four-game road stretch to open the season at Howard on Feb. 28.
The Bobcats open the home portion of the schedule at Peggy Pruitt Field on March 4 against Northwestern. The game against the Wildcats kicks off a three-game homestand featuring contests against Johns Hopkins (March 9) and George Mason (March 11).
Ohio finishes the month of March with road games at UMBC (March 17), Mount St. Mary's (March 20) and Davidson (March 25), followed by a home game with California (March 30).
The Bobcats play three of their final five games at home. After a road contest at Duquesne (April 1), Ohio hosts national-semifinalist Notre Dame (April 10), Vanderbilt (April 13) and UC Davis (April 15). The Bobcats end the regular season at Penn State on April 22.
For the first time in the league's history, the American Lacrosse Conference will host a postseason tournament. The six-team event will be played at Johns Hopkins from May 4-6.
