ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio Head Lacrosse Coach Allison Valentino has announced that juniors Kari Fasick (Marriottsville, Md.), Lindsey Marshall (Hilliard, Ohio) and Julie Roguski (Eldersburg, Md.) have been selected as the Bobcats' captains for the 2007 season.
Fasick will be in her second season as a captain for the Bobcats. In her first two seasons, the midfielder has played in all 30 of Ohio's games. Last season, she tallied seven goals and a career-best four assists. She also picked up a career-high 23 ground balls.
Marshall, a defender, will also be serving as a captain for the second straight season. In 2006, she played in all 16 of the Bobcats' games, scoring three goals and adding an assist. She was second on the team with 32 ground balls.
Roguski will be a captain for the Bobcats for the first time in 2007. A mainstay on the Ohio defense, Roguski stated all 16 games for Ohio last season. She scored two goals and caused six turnovers as a sophomore.
Ohio begins its second season under Head Coach Allison Valentino on Feb. 16 at Lehigh. The Bobcats open the home portion of their schedule on March 4 against two-time defending national champion Northwestern. All of Ohio's home games are played at Peggy Pruitt Field.
