Player Profile

Volunteer Assistant

Alma Mater:
Ohio '05

Carrie Kistner wrapped up her first year as a graduate assistant for the Bobcats in 2006 and has amassed quite a history with Ohio soccer. Kistner played for the Bobcats from 2000-2004 while receiving a medical redshirt in 2001 due to a knee injury.

Kistner's impact on the team is shown in the respect earned from her teammates and coaches. She was unanimously selected as a team captain in 2004 while winning the team's Unsung Hero award the season before. In 2003 she started in all 21 matches and moved from outside back to sweeper after a season-ending injury to a teammate. One year prior, she played in all 22 contests and was a MAC Honor Roll selection. She earned her third such selection in 2004.

Kistner began her Bobcat career in 2000 when she started in 17 of the 19 games she played in as a freshman. She tallied her first career goal against Buffalo and finished the season with a goal and an assist.

Since graduating from Ohio in 2005 with a degree in early childhood education, Kistner has taught pre-school in Cincinnati.
