KENT, Ohio - The Ohio women's soccer team won a pair of contests on Sunday afternoon against two club teams from Canada. The Bobcats defeated the Burlington Women, a team made up of former collegiate players, 3-0, and also took down Erin Mills, a U-17 club team from Ontario, 2-0.

Courtney Mink (Mason, Ohio) continued her fantastic spring, adding to her Bobcat-best point total. The senior-to-be assisted on the second goal against Burlington and scored both goals against Erin Mills - one unassisted and one off a pass from Amy Lower (West Chester, Ohio). She improved her point total from four to nine on three goals and three assists this spring.

In addition to her assist against Erin Mills, Lower scored two goals for the `Cats against Burlington. The first came off a pass from Erika Dietz (Yorktown, Va.) and Halle Plagens (Bay Village, Ohio) and the second was unassisted on a breakaway. Lower, a junior-to-be and Ohio's second-leading goal scorer a season ago, compiled five points over the weekend. Dietz, a senior next season, also scored a goal of her own against Burlington with the assist from Mink.

The Bobcats will play Ohio State this weekend at Chessa Field with the start time scheduled for 1 p.m. After the game against the Buckeyes, the `Cats will have one more spring friendly against a true opponent with Cincinnati coming to Athens on May 11 for a 1 p.m. game. Ohio closes out the spring season with the annual Alumni Game on May 17 at Chessa Field. Former Bobcats will gather together to play against Ohio's returning players.

Next season head coach Stacy Strauss will return 13 players from last year's squad and welcome 13 incoming freshmen.
