ATHENS, Ohio – Cathryn Rogers of Ohio Soccer earned Second Team All Mid-American Conference honors, the league office announced recently. The senior picked up Ohio’s first All-Conference nod since the 2010 season.

Rogers (Etobicoke, Ontario) had an incredibly strong senior season, leading the Bobcats in goals (7), assists (4) and points (18). She was very dependable for the Green and White, starting all 19 games of the season and playing 1,346 minutes. Rogers had a knack for coming through in the clutch in 2012 as well, with four of her seven goals serving as game-winners.

The playmaking senior ended her career with 13 goals, tying her for ninth place all-time in Ohio Soccer history. Of the 13 goals she scored for the Bobcats, nine proved to be game-winners. In most cases, Rogers’ success proved to be Ohio Soccer’s success, as the Bobcats posted an impressive 9-3 record during the 12 matches in which she recorded a goal.
