Marissa Gonzalez begins her career with Ohio Softball in the 2011-2012 season as a Volunteer Assistant.
Her primary responsibilities include assisting the pitching staff and helping with team preparation. Additionally, she assists players with batting cage work and carries out a variety of other administrative tasks.
Before coming to Ohio University, Gonzalez worked as a Specialized Pitching Coach at both the Torrance Unified School District and Lubbock Christian University where she maintained daily operations and helped establish the beginning of a new softball program.
In her two years of competition at Cypress College, Gonzalez received First Team All-American honors and earned a spot in the Hall of Fame. She also pitched on the Texas All-Stars team in an exhibition game against the USA Olympic team. She ended her NAIA career as a member of a nationally-ranked team on which she was named "Pitcher of the Week" multiple times.
Gonzalez received a bachelor's degree of science in Kinesiology from Lubbock Christian University of Texas in 2010.
