Jessica Jones joined the Ohio coaching staff in November 2005 following a successful playing career for Purdue. She played four years for the Boilermakers at third base and catcher and was named All-Big Ten her senior year and all-region her freshman campaign. She was also named Academic All-Big Ten from 2001 to 2003.
Jones will be the primary coach for the catchers and will assist with the pitchers. She will also take a large roll in team building and helping players with the mental side of game and will also play a large role in recruiting for the program.
Jones graduated from Purdue in May of 2004 with a degree in communications with an emphasis on public relations. She minored in organizational leadership supervision. Following her collegiate playing career, Jones served as the student assistant coach for Purdue for the 2003-04 season and recently concluded a six-month stint playing professionally in the Italian A1 League.
