Ohio Finishes Second at MAC Tournament

AKRON, Ohio - In its first ever appearance in the MAC softball championship game, the Ohio Bobcats lost to Kent State, 5-0. Ohio collected two hits off of KSU pitcher Gabrielle Burns, both from senior Courtney Waters. Freshman Melissa Bonner, sophomore Shalene Petrich, and senior Michelle Sauter were named to the All-Tournament Team. The Bobcats wrap up the season with a 29-26 overall record, marking the best record in six years. Ohio won four straight games to reach the MAC championship game, defeating Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Bowling Green two times. |
