ATHENS, Ohio – With the 40th season in program history recently underway, seven Ohio Softball student-athletes are taking time from their busy schedules to speak with OhioBobcats.com. Wednesday’s featured interview was Raven King, a junior slugger from Alpine, Utah.

Raven had a breakout sophomore season in 2012, playing a large role in setting the following records in her second year as a Bobcat:

Team marks achieved in 2012
Runs scored: 293 - 1st all-time
Runs batted in: 255 - 1st all-time
Home runs: 47 - 1st all-time
Runs scored in a single game: 21 vs. St. Bonaventure - 1st all-time
Doubles hit in a single game: 7 vs. Northern Illinois - 1st all-time
Home runs hit in a single game: 5 vs. Dayton - 1st all-time
Runs batted in during a single game: 15 vs. Dayton - 1st all-time

Individual hitting marks achieved in 2012
Home runs: 13 by Lauren Gellerman and Raven King - 1st all-time
Runs scored: 42 by Raven King - 2nd all-time

The Bobcats will continue the 2013 season at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga Frost Classic on Friday, Feb. 22. At the tournament, the Bobcats will take on North Carolina Central, Niagara, Lipscomb, Boston College, and Tennessee Tech.
