ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio University Softball Team (13-6) announced a change to its schedule on Tuesday afternoon. Ohio’s doubleheader at Dayton—originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon—has been moved to Friday afternoon due to unplayable field conditions. The Bobcats and Flyers will begin play Friday at 2 p.m.
Ohio is currently enjoying one of its best starts to a season in program history. Of 292 teams in NCAA Division One softball, the Bobcats have achieved the following rankings as of games played March 10:
Batting Average – 81st (.289)
Scoring Offense – 33rd (6.11 runs per game)
Win/Loss Percentage – 51st (.684)
Home Runs per Game – 6th (1.53)
Slugging Percentage – 15th (.538)
The Bobcats will play their first home games of the season on Saturday, March 23 against Canisius.
