ATHENS, Ohio – Not only are the Ohio University softball team’s offensive numbers ranking well within the Mid-American Conference, but they are also stacking up impressively on a national stage. In the most recent NCAA national statistics release, Ohio’s offense ranks within the 81st percentile in three team categories and among the nation’s top 50 in multiple individual areas.
Just 25 games (47 percent) into a regular-season schedule of 53 contests, Ohio (15-10) has hit 36 home runs and driven in 128 runs. This puts the Bobcats well on pace to surpass program marks in single season home runs (47) and RBI (255), each of which were set during the 2012 season.

Ohio will next be in action on Friday, March 29 at Kent State. The Bobcats and Golden Flashes will open MAC play with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
