Ohio to Tangle with Broncos at Noon Thursday

AKRON, Ohio - Mother Nature made its presence known on the opening day of the Mid-American Conference softball tournament, moving Ohio's scheduled contest with Western Michigan to a tentative noon start Thursday. The 'Cats will play two games on the day. With rain falling steadily Wednesday evening, tournament officials made the decision to move the last two games scheduled for the evening back to Thursday. As a result, the `Cats' game with the Broncos was pushed to a noon start, with Akron and Kent State squaring off at 10 a.m. A total of six tournament games are now scheduled to take place Thursday. If the Green and White beat Western Michigan, it will play again at 6 p.m. If the `Cats fall short, they would get under way at 8 p.m. News concerning Ohio's outcomes and a link to live stats for the tournament will be available at www.OhioBobcats.com.
