AKRON, Ohio - In what is quickly becoming a tournament norm for Ohio softball at the Mid-American Conference Tournament this year, MAC Tournament officials announced a change in start time for the `Cats once again. Ohio will now take on Akron Friday at 11 a.m.

The Green and White were to face the Zips at 8 p.m. before rain in the area pushed that back to a 9:15 start. With the two contests before Ohio's lasting extended periods of time, the decision was made to move the Bobcats and Akron to Friday at 11 a.m. If Ohio wins that contest, it will play again at 3 p.m.

Friday May 8 Tournament Schedule:
Ohio vs. Akron - 11 a.m.
Miami vs. Kent State/Western Michigan loser - 1 p.m.
Ball State vs. Ohio/Akron winner - 3 p.m.
Miami vs. TBD - 5 p.m.
TBD - 7 p.m.
