ATHENS, Ohio - Senior outfielder Courtney Waters garnered second-team NFCA All-Great Lakes Region honors, as announced Wednesday by the organization. Waters is the first Bobcat since 2004 to receive all-region recognition.

Waters finished the season strong batting .337, while leading the team with 49 runs and 59 hits, including 13 RBI. She also set a single-season record in runs scored and finished second on the team with nine stolen bases.

In addition, Waters was named first-team All-MAC and finishes her career on Ohio's all-time career runs, walks and stolen bases lists. Waters is third all-time with 97 runs scored, fourth with 58 career walks, and fifth with 40 steals. Altogether, she has played in 195 games, tallies 139 hits, 40 RBI, and two home runs in her four-year tenure. Last season, Waters was named to the All-MAC Second Team.

Waters is now eligible for the NFCA All-American team, which will be announced at the end of the month.
