1. What's the most interesting thing you've learned about yourself since starting college?
I have learned a lot about myself since starting college, such as holding myself accountable and being more responsible. I have learned that mistakes will be made but by not pointing the finger and accepting that it is ok to make mistakes and learn from them, is more important than the mistake itself.

2. What's your most prized possession?
My most prized possession would be all the pictures that I have of my family, friends, teammates, etc. When you start to get homesick and are able to look back at pictures and remember the good days back at home, it tends to make me forget that I am so far away.

3. Why did you choose your major?
I chose Exercise Physiology because it puts me on the path towards becoming a Physical Therapist. I remember my visits to the physical therapists and how they wanted to work with me to get me back and playing as quickly as possible. I want to be that person who helps athletes.

4. Since you're from California, how have you adjusted to Ohio's weather?
I have adjusted to the weather pretty quickly. Being from southern California we rarely get the four seasons, so when it first started to snow I was really excited. There were a few days here it did get really cold and I would just want to stay inside. I needed to add a few warm jackets to my wardrobe but other than that I really have enjoyed the different seasons.

5. In your opinion what's the biggest difference between high school and college?
Time management is the biggest difference. In high school you could get away with procrastinating, but in college if you decide to procrastinate, then your work load just starts piling up and you find yourself up past 3 a.m. writing a paper and studying for a huge exam due the next day.

6. What's your favorite place to hang out on campus?
My favorite place to hang out on campus would have to be the softball locker room in the Convo. So much goes on in the locker room and there are so many great moments and memories that have been made there. It is just like having another room outside of your dorm room where you can go and relax, laugh a little with teammates before practice and games and even catch a few hours of sleep between classes.

7. What's your most memorable softball moment of the season?
The most memorable softball moment for me, personally would have to be our trip to California over spring break. I was able to pitch and play a few innings in front of my parents. They were excited for me to get in the game and I was excited for them to be able to see me play.

The most memorable softball moment as a team would have to be coming back in the 7th and scoring 4 runs to almost beat Stanford University. The heart and passion for the game was evident in all 21 members of the team, the coaching staff and the parents. It was evident in the intensity that was exuded in that 7th inning. Even though the game did not count towards our standings, the experience gained from the game against Stanford has given us more confidence in each other that no matter what name might be on the jersey, we can beat them.

8. Who's the funniest person on the team?
The funniest person on our team would have to be Amanda Sacks, aka AJ. No matter how she feels that day she always has a smile and a way to make people laugh.

9. What are you plans for the summer?
My plans for this summer are to find a job, focus on our summer workout so that I will be ready to hit the ground running when we come back, prepare for next season and to relax.

10. Why'd you choose to play softball at Ohio?
My decision to play softball at Ohio was based on a few factors; the members of the team, the coaching staff, the campus and academics. The coaches and girls did an incredible job of making my parents and I feel at home while keeping the atmosphere light and friendly. When I arrived for my visit, I was greeted by Jesse, our assistant coach, and she answered all our questions and made the trip very exciting. When I met the team, I knew this was where I wanted to be. I felt like they would be my second family. The team and coaching staff were very welcoming and treated me just as if I was part of the team already. They have definitely been a second family to me, I know that I can count on them and trust all of them. The beautiful campus and the great academics were two other selling points for me.
