Ohio Softball Fall Camps Set for September

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio Softball has finalized the dates for its annual fall camps, the program announced on Tuesday. Campers of all ages and positions are invited to the Ohio Softball Field behind Ohio University’s West Green on Sept. 15 and 16.

The first session of the fall will take place on Sept. 15 beginning at 8:30 a.m. This camp is for softball players of all positions and all ages. Campers will spend the morning with focused hitting drills in order to improve their offensive abilities. Following a mid-afternoon lunch break, campers will then spend the afternoon working on their defensive skills.

Ohio Softball’s second session is scheduled for Sept. 16 beginning at 9 a.m. This camp is only for high school players but welcomes all positions. Campers will spend the morning working on various offensive and defensive skills. Following a mid-afternoon lunch break, campers will then spend the afternoon playing games.

The cost of each session is $125 per camper. Included in this fee is a camp t-shirt.

Ohio had its most successful offensive output in program history during the 2012 season, scoring a program record 293 runs while belting an impressive 47 home runs. The Bobcats claimed their 300th Mid-American Conference win at Central Michigan on April 27.
