Prior to Ohio: Bilger was named Indianapolis' First Team All-City and First Team All-State as she helped captain Cathedral High School to the regional finals. She also helped lead the Irish to a first-place finish at the Indianapolis City Tournament. Bilger was a four-year varsity letter winner averaging 3.8 kills per game. In club play, her two teams (Munciana Samurai and Team Indiana) placed second at AAU's in 2008 and 2010.
