Prior to Ohio: Lamberti was named the 2010 Illinois' Gatorade Player of the Year after she recorded 320 kills, 210 digs, 72 service aces and 44 blocks this past season while posting a kill percentage of .476, leading the Trojans (41-1) to the Class 4A state final. A four-year varsity starter for the nation's No. 5 team as ranked by PrepVolleyball.com, Lamberti was named 2010 Player of the Year by both the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun Times. A four-year varsity letter winner, she set the record for blocks at the IHSA State Finals and is second all-time in the finals record books in kills. She became a 2009 Gatorade Player of the Year nominee and was an Under Armor All-American Player to Watch in 2010. Lamberti holds the Cary Grove High School season record for kills with 373 and season record for aces with 96. Her club team, Sky High, took home the bronze medal in the 2009 JVDA National Championships and were crowned AAU National Champions in that same year. Lamberti also became an AAU All-American, a First Team All-State Selection and was named Northwest Herald's Player of the Year in 2009.
